Tashi Mannox to Lecture on the Painted Mantra at the Rubin Museum on April 2, 2014 Followed by a Calligraphy Workshop on Tibet Letters April 4-6, 2014 in Western Massachusetts




Tibetan calligraphy is a contemplative practice, or a Dharma art, known to purify and heal the practitioner.  Join Tashi Mannox, calligrapher and artist, as he demonstrates the actualization of the Medicine Buddha Mantra, and invites the audience to draw with him. Part lecture, part demonstration, part workshop.  No experience necessary.

Following his presentation at the Rubin, Tashi will be in residence at Taegyalgar East in Conway, MA to teach a workshop on Tibetan letters co-sponsored by Shang Shung Institute and KPC.

Tashi mostly teaches in Europe so this is a great opportunity to learn the correct proportions of beautiful Tibetan Uchen letters to write out mantras and sacred seed syllables
